first Race completed -5k Run to Save an orphan

October 11 - Sunday at 8:30 am I completed the run in 45mins---Hurray!
Here are the pictures from the first Fit4FOADAC project - the Long Beach Marathon in which I ran the 5k race and my 9yr old daughter finished the 1mile kid's fun race! I want to especially thank the first sponsors - Melissa Nambangi, Nicoline Ambe-Ndiforchu, Anita Balinga-Etta, Kelly Goon, Denise Beadle and Adeline Chia-Viyuoh for the initial boost that took me from walking to running...Thank you for your generous donations. And to my greatest cheerleaders - my siblings and my Mom - 'njika njamu'.
Enjoy the pictures and click here to see the 4seconds finish line euphoria:
Thank you all again for your time and visit us often to see how your donations are making a difference in Africa.

Commitment Day: I took my first step to fitness.

I just enrolled in NIKE+ to start recording my mileage . Walk or run, no turning back so an orphan can be fed, educated, saved from disease, poverty and neglect. Please join me so we can create a good team that will yield fruits and keep us healthy...I do need the motivation, please click on the "Follow" link so we can get started. Thanks!
